With a long and proud tradition of Highland hospitality this comfortably relaxing hotel in the centre of Inverness has all the grand atmosphere of the Victorian age, while still being friendly and informalandis an outstanding conference venue
The hotel was first opened in 1854 (Queen Victoria herself was an early visitor), and has recently been completely refurbished and redecorated, sensitively bringing it up-to-date for the modern traveller.
Of special note is the hotel’s fine collection of original paintings and prints – mostly Scottish. Romantic and interesting pictures are to be found in every guest room as well as the corridors and main rooms.
Because The Royal Highland Hotel is in the middle of Inverness, it’s easy to walk around the town, visit the Clachnacudainn where early local Kings were crowned, the Castle, the excellent museum, kiltmakers, or the wooded parks, footbridges and islands of the River Ness.
