Standing in the shadow of York’s city wall you will find the impressive Merchant Taylors’ Hall. This magnificent 14th Century main hall measuring 20 metres by 10 metres and 10 metres high is spanned by a fine medieval roof with exposed beams and carvings.
Today the main hall is an excellent venue for receptions, weddings, dinners, meetings and a variety of other events. It has a capacity for up to 150 seated guests for a reception while the Small Hall has a capacity for 45 persons. The building’s age and character make this a warm and welcoming venue whilst the high and open ceiling gives a great sense of space. The central fireplace provides a functional focal point for the room and helps create an even more convivial atmosphere. Limited private parking available.
