The George Hotel is a historic coaching house dating from Stuart times with one of the few remaining galleried courtyards. The hotel was once the former home of Oliver Cromwell’s grandfather The attractive restaurant and bar serve a good selection of tasty meals and real cask ales.
The 24 en suite bedrooms are fully equipped with CD, modem point, radio, TV, telephone, trouser press and hair dryer. Feature rooms and a four poster bedroom are also available. There is a large ballroom for trade shows/large conferences and there are two other rooms available for smaller conferences and meetings.
