Behind the historic façade is a building capable of meeting the needs of a variety of clients. The complex is comprised of three main spaces, all inter-linked, and the Civic Theatre, situated in close proximity to the Corn Exchange. With rooms of all sizes from a compact meeting space to an impressive auditorium, maybe the most important feature is the flexibility afforded by the arrangement of these rooms and the configurations possible within them.

Each of the main spaces has its own bar, kitchen, toilets and cloakroom facilities. All areas of the venue can be connected through video and audio links and we are also able to offer our customers an audio or video recording service for all functions held within the venue. A full in-house bar and catering service can be provided dependent on individual clients’ needs. Lift and ramp access makes the venue accessible to disabled customers and an induction loop system is available for people with impaired hearing.

A very flexible space which also has a balcony. Four and six foot tables are available. Stages of various sizes can be constructed in any part of the auditorium.

A Victorian-style theatre with a built-in stage and balcony which is suitable for slightly larger groups. Seating can be arranged in theatre style incorporating the balcony to accommodate up to 280 people, or boardroom style for smaller groups.

With an in-built stage suitable for presentations and a side room / bar convenient for refreshment breaks, the Harpur Suite is ideal for a range of activities. The capacity for meeting and conferences in the Harpur Suite is between 60 to 160.
