Friends House is the historic headquarters of Quakers in Britain and offers a wide range of meeting rooms and large conference halls in its charming central London location, where you are assured of a warm and friendly welcome. The facilities are well located just opposite Euston station and within easy walking distance of King’s Cross station and the Eurostar at St Pancras station. They are also well served by local bus and tube services.
Friends House is also ideally located near many hotels suiting all budgets. The classically inspired architecture with its imposing stone columns and wood panelling belies the warm welcome offered to delegates from small charities to large corporations. Charitable rates are available on request.
With a private courtyard, garden, café and refreshments served to your meeting rooms, Friends House is an oasis of calm and comfort offering culinary excellence on the edge of the bustling West End.
What makes our site unique is the large meeting house which seats 1,100. This room is one of the few with this capacity in Central London, and has welcomed such distinguished guest as Mahatma Gandi and Bertrand Russell. The large Meeting House is ideally suited to lecture/speaking events, graduation ceremonies, and performances in the round.
Friends House is a member of the Vegetarian Society’s Food & Drink Guild. There are catering outlets where we serve hot food, a selection of Fairtrade teas, coffees, soft drinks, fruit, sandwiches and other hot and cold snacks of which many are organic. The coffee is triple-certified Fairtade, Rainforest Alliance and organic.
