The Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre (SECC) is situated on a 64-acre site on the banks of the River Clyde in Glasgow and is the UK’s largest integrated exhibition and conference centre.
Since opening in 1985, the SECC has established an enviable reputation for successfully staging conferences, exhibitions and events of all sizes. The stunning purpose-built conference centre, designed by award-winning architects Foster and Partners, can accommodate up to 3,000 delegates, yet has the ability to adapt to much smaller meetings whilst maintaining its feeling of intimacy. It is supported by 16 breakout-rooms seating from 30-300 and a second auditorium provides tiered and floor level seating for up to 624 delegates.
Technical facilities throughout the complex are of the highest standard. Sound, light and audiovisual systems are all computer-managed using fibre optic technology for professional and stress-free presentations. Data lines, plus cabling for video conferencing and satellite links are in-built for minimum intrusion and the venue is Wi-Fi enabled.
All of these facilities are directly linked to 22,355 m² (239,000 ft²) of exhibition space in five interconnected halls, providing flexible space for concurrent exhibitions, banquets, concerts, large-scale events or additional meeting halls for up to 10,000 delegates.
Located in the heart of Glasgow, Scotland’s cultural and commercial capital, the SECC is just 11 miles away from Glasgow International Airport, which provides over 50 direct return flights to London everyday as well as direct flights to major European cities.
SECC is located on a 64 acre site on the banks of the River Clyde in the heart of Glasgow.
