Welcome to Rheged and what we believe to be a conference and exhibition venue with a difference – an award winning and inspiring location for any meeting or event. Rheged is Europe’s largest grass covered building and boasts stunning architecture and a light, bright interior. Two floor to ceiling walls of glass offer spectacular views of the waterfalls and lake with views of the North Pennines beyond.

All in all a glorious backdrop against which delegates can escape the ordinary and enjoy a unique environment for business.

Rheged is an incredibly versatile venue perfect for a wide variety of events including major conferences, small meetings, seminars, training events, award ceremonies and evening functions.

With the introduction of our two purpose built Exhibition Halls, we now offer 588 sq m (6335 sq ft) of dedicated exhibition space, ideal for exhibitions, fairs and product launches. The exhibition halls have vehicular access, making them ideal for car launches and easy to set up for your event.

Rheged also provides an inspiring environment for corporate hospitality with the option to entertain your guests with a champagne reception in the National Mountaineering Exhibition, or invite them to sample fine foods from Cumbria and beyond in our stylish contemporary food bar Taste!
