Reputed to be the oldest hotel in England, one time host to Mary Queen of Scots. Daniel Defo writing in 1727 and staying at the hotel, said, “This is indeed a very special place.” Which of course it is, even to this day. The Old Hall’s mellowed walls and many ancient rooms reflect the pedigree of its rich past, yet providing every comfort, cuisine and high technology expected from the best hotels of today

An excellent venue for the executive, the hotel offers a choice of rooms for small conferences and meetings. A full range of equipment including video & monitor is available. The Shrewsbury Suite accommodates up to 50 delegates with the Cavendish Room and Talbot Room catering for up to 25. Private dinner parties or weddings can be hosted in all our rooms

This room is located on the ground floor ideally situated for all conveniences. With large stained glass windows overlooking St Anns Well this is a beautiful room for either a meeting or private function. There is a separate break out area and large connecting room if required.
Cavendish Room 40 12 20 20
This room is again ideally situated on the ground floor close to all conveniences. This room has a large bay window which allows natural day light. There is an adjoining very comfortable lounge to this room which can be used if required for breakouts.
Talbot Room 40 12 20 20
This room is also situated on the ground floor ideally located for all conveniences. This room boasts a large bay window which allows natural daylight.
