The Museum of London is one of the world’s largest urban history museums & holds over two million objects in its collection. The lower galleries have just emerged from a £20m refurbishment to reveal some of the most stunning event space in London. The new galleries tell the story of London & its people from 1666 to the present day.
The Museum’s venue hire spaces have also undertaken a transformation, including new meeting spaces, a state-of-the-art, 230-seat, purpose-built theatre with an interactive media centre. In addition, the galleries will include rooms available to host fine dining for 350, drinks receptions for 1,000 people & a tranquil city garden.

Arriving in the striking Entrance Hall, guests will be greeted by our welcoming hosts. The contemporary open space with futuristic bar can be used for a drinks reception before moving through to the Sackler Hall or as an event space in its own right.

The award-winning galleries tell the amazing story of the world’s most exciting city and its people have all been designed with events in mind. Guests can experience London’s history from 450,000 BC right up to the present day as they approach the main event space in the Sackler Hall. More intimate events can be held in the museum’s galleries using one or more spaces.

The Weston Theatre is a purpose built lecture theatre providing a high spec venue for presentations and conferences. It is fully equipped with PA, data projector, screen, lectern and an in-house technician. The Theatre also offers full blackout facilities, air conditioning, WiFi and wheelchair access.

The Terrace Gallery is a popular venue for day time meetings up to 100 delegates and has direct garden access. A data projector, screen and PA system are offered for every meeting.

The Museum of London’s newest gallery ‘Designing a Moment: The London 2012 Cauldron’ is now available for hire. This is a unique opportunity to give your guests exclusive access to the London 2012 Cauldron as part of a breakfast or evening event. Visitors can relive the unforgettable moment when the cauldron was revealed to the world during the Olympic opening ceremony. The exhibition will celebrate Thomas Heatherwick’s cutting edge design, which also features the original Team GB Olympic copper petal. The inspiring exhibition can be booked as part of a larger event taking place in the galleries and Sackler Hall, or as an event space in its own right. Up to 50 guests can enjoy drinks and canapés in the gallery at any one time. The space will also hold up to 30 people for a private dinner.

The Clore Centre incorporates one main activity space which can be split in to 3 sections, in addition to a seminar room and e-learning suite. It can also be used as registration, exhibition and refreshment space for the Weston Theatre.

The Garden Room has a capacity up to 70 delegates. It can be used as a break out room for the Terrace Gallery, a separate catering area or as a meeting room in its own right.

The Terrace Boardroom is an exclusive room boasting a stylish archaeological display. Perfect for intimate meetings, it also has a built-in plasma screen which can be linked to a laptop for presentations.
